If you have a passion for electrical engineering and industrial automation, we're seeking a skilled professional to join as an Electrical and Controls Engineer/Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical design and installation, while also programming and maintaining PLC-based control systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in both electrical systems and automation controls, allowing them to effectively integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize our ground breaking manufacturing technology. Job requirements
🛠 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement electrical control systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in industrial automation applications.
Source electrical components and build control cabinets according to specifications, including panel layout design, component mounting, and proper wiring techniques.
Develop and maintain electrical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and safety certification records that meet European and German regulatory compliance.
Program, troubleshoot and optimize PLC-based control systems using both structured text and ladder logic programming methods, including HMI configuration and integration with existing equipment.
Perform electrical installations and modifications with strict adherence to European and German safety standards, ensuring all work passes required inspections and certifications.
Conduct comprehensive electrical safety testing in accordance with European and German electrical laws, regulations and standards (including VDE, DIN and IEC requirements).
☯ YOU’RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE...
A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related technical field.
2+ years of professional experience in industrial electrical and controls engineering. Ideally in continuous manufacturing and critical hygiene industries.
Demonstrated proficiency in electrical design, including the ability to read and create electrical schematics and other documentation using EPLAN.
Experience building and troubleshooting control cabinets and switchboards, with knowledge of component selection and panel layout according to European and German electrical standards.
Strong understanding of European and German electrical regulations (VDE, DIN, IEC standards) and proven experience with safety compliance testing procedures.
Experience with PLC programming including Structured Text and Ladder Logic, ideally with Beckhoff PLCs.
Experience with SCADA/HMI development and configuration, as well as knowledge of common industrial communication and networking technologies.
Strong problem-solving abilities in fast paced manufacturing environments.
Strong communication skills in both English and German, please note this is a mandatory requirement for this role.
